释空禅法师胸怀慈悲，为弱势群体献爱心，于2013年5月13日设立怡保安宁街友之家，为一群被社会遗弃的流浪汉及孤苦无依的老人，每日提供免费午餐，并计划为他们设立未来的栖身疗养之所及临终关怀，凝聚了大德善信的乐善好施以及数十多位义工奉献的力量，尽心尽力为目前三百多名的贫困老人，提供免费温饱的午餐及提供住宿，减少了他们挨饿之苦与避免露宿街头。IMG_2292师父胸怀佛祖大爱慈悲精神，征得大德善信的捐献与热心的义工的服务，每逢佳节，如中秋，冬至和除夕，都会为他们举办庆祝会，发挥老吾老以及人之老的孝亲敬老精神，使这群无家可归的老人家感受人间热心的关怀，让他们重拾家庭的温馨。

人人为我，我为人人，为孤苦无住所的贫老献出爱心，是我们怡保安宁街友之家设立的宗旨。

Benevolent Master Shi Kong Chan, with the noble aim to help those old folks without home and family support has established Anning Environment Preservation-Community Welfare Centre at Hume Street, Ipoh, on 13 May, 2013. The centre provides free lunch for these old folks and planned to set up nursing home in future when they are sick as well as to extend caring for them before their lives come to an end.

After nearly 8 months since its establishment, this welfare centre has successfully enlisted the generous contributions among the kind-hearted donors as well as the scarification of those volunteers to provide about 200 old and poor, homeless folks nutrition lunch, thus relieve their agony of hunger. Other than this, we also arrange trained-volunteers from welfare society to conduct medical check-up for these old, homeless folks. Our benevolent Master Shi Kong Chan, with the practice of the teachings of Buddha, i.e. to share warmthand happlnes to those old folks without home enlisted contributions of the generous donors together with the help of the volunteers, to hold cultural festival celebrations,such as the moon cake festival, the arrival of Winter and last day before the Chinese New Year for these old homeless folks, so that they would enjoy the warmth and happiness as if just like the reunion celebration of their homes. The spirit of sharing and caring each other, the love and kindness that manifested through the caring of the old and homeless folks is the main aim of the establishment of Anning Environment Preservation-Community Welfare Centre.
